A safe and confidential counselling service
My name is Anna Batey, I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and an accredited member of the National Counselling Society. In my practice, Counselling Plymouth, I offer a safe and confidential counselling service. I have particular experience of working with pregnancy related issues, but I also offer counselling to people dealing with a wide range of other issues.
My training enables me to tailor the counselling to suit you and your needs. I can draw on a range of different approaches, such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), person centred therapy and Gestalt therapy.
I’m based in Mannamead, less than 2 miles from Plymouth City Centre.
Located in a quiet cul-de-sac with ample free parking and near regular bus routes.
Counselling and Therapy Plymouth
We can all experience times when life is difficult and challenging. This is a normal part of life, but you don’t have to struggle on your own. I can help you make sense of what you are feeling, help you make positive changes and find a way forward.
There can be many reasons for people to come to counselling. I can help you in a wide range of situations and with many different issues, such as:
- Anger management
- Anxiety and stress
- Bereavement and loss
- Fears and phobias
- Feeling sad
- Low self esteem
- Obsessive compulsive disorder
- Relationship issues
Specialization – Pregnancy related issues
If you are struggling to start a family, the experience that you hoped would be filled with joy and excitement might instead be overshadowed by feelings of sadness, frustration, anxiety and disappointment.
You don’t have to go through this on your own. I have a lot of experience of working with pregnancy related issues and I am here to help. I have worked with many women and couples who have experienced pregnancy related difficulties, including:
- Postnatal depression
- (Traumatic) pregnancy and birth
Making a change
Are you ready to make a change? Would you like some support to make sense of what you are feeling?
Many people feel a little anxious about taking that first step and contacting a counsellor. If that sounds like you, please don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Why not send me a message and tell me a little about your situation. I am here to help.
